Ghana taking the next step in electronics recycling
Africa: The European Union is to invest Euro 1.2 million in Ghana's 'E-MAGIN' electronics recycling project over the next four years.
The initiative, which will be implemented in eight regions across the country, has been launched in the country’s capital Accra by environment, science, technology and innovation minister Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng. The project aims to improve the formalisation of Ghana’s e-scrap management, thus providing legitimate and safe jobs for thousands of people. [more]
